What is the Rational Middle?

DESCRIPTIONS & RESOURCES

Director Gregory Kallenberg takes you through his journey of discovery about the energy issue from his beginnings as a documentary filmmaker, to the idea for the Rational Middle, to finding support for this imperative discussion in the most unlikely of places. He discusses why the issue of energy is important to him and his team, and how we can effect change to ensure a brighter future for our global community.

In the end, no matter how transparent the funding source is, it still provides greenwash for Shell. Why the need for including Odum’s face and voice, at all? There is only one reason for their inclusion.

The energy future can’t exist if we can’t stop throwing those molotov cocktails mentioned in the video. If you think we can get to a clean energy future without companies to invest the capitol to do it, please let us know how. Without raising taxes and without making energy so expensive that no one can afford to live in the first world. It’s a tight rope to walk, but we think we’re starting on the right foot. Including everyone, and coming to the table to get the ball rolling is the best way to get the results we all want – that sustainable, affordable, environmentally responsible energy future.

engineer and scientist Buckminster Fuller once said, “There is no energy
crisis, just a crisis of ignorance”. I agree and may be  ‘the
rational middle’ may be step in the right direction

It is time that everyone get to the “table” and realistically work at solving the Energy/Climate Crisis. If everyone interested in this, from both sides of the issue, were to take heart with the message in this series, maybe we could get something done.
